The state weather bureau Pagasa placed Metro Manila and five other Luzon areas under a yellow rainfall warning on Wednesday. Pagasa said the southwest monsoon, locally called habagat, caused the heavy rain alert.
Heavy monsoon rain can flood streets, delay commutes, and disrupt classes and work for people across Metro Manila. Checking conditions before heading out helps everyone avoid flooded routes.
Check Pagasa's official advisories for any upgrade to the rainfall warning before traveling Wednesday.
