EU Backs Extension of Iceland’s Aviation Emissions Exemption

The European Commission and the Icelandic government have agreed in principle to extend Iceland’s special exemption under the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) for international flights by three years, keeping the arrangement in place until 2030.
