US envoy to India Sergio Gor welcomed Major League Baseball to India at an MLBx Mumbai event, ANI reported. The event marked a crossover between cricket and baseball, two bat-and-ball sports with shared fan appeal.
Global sports leagues entering India can bring local fan events, merchandise, and streaming options to metro residents. The cricket-baseball crossover may also shape which games and content become available on platforms many already pay for.
