A Supreme Court-appointed committee will hold a two-day hearing on October 29-30 to record evidence on the July Jantar Mantar protest violence.
The hearing shows how force used during protests is reviewed when citizens challenge it, and the online portal lets witnesses anywhere in India, including Bengaluru, submit evidence without travelling or revealing their identity.
Check hpec.nic.in before October 30 if you witnessed the protests, as walk-in submissions at Shiksha Sadan require valid ID.
