Rotten onions force TN government to cancel 400-tonne order placed with central agency

Tamil Nadu cancelled a 400-tonne onion order from NAFED after over 30% of the consignment was found rotten. The onions, meant for sale at Rs 35/kg via ration shops, arrived on October 31.
