A day before the Punjab and Haryana high court (HC) was scheduled to hear the matter, the UT administration on Thursday notified the Union Territory of Chandigarh Tenancy Rules, 2026, operationalising the Assam Tenancy Act, 2021, as extended to Chandigarh.
