What Israel’s new law exempting Haredi from IDF means for its society, politics

While thousands of Israeli soldiers are engaged on the frontlines in South Lebanon and Gaza, the Israeli Parliament has approved the laws that would resultantly stop the enlistment of Haredi (ultra-Orthodox Jewish) men in the military.
